About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform traffic analysis, studies, preliminary engineering, transportation planning, and develop final design plans for traffic signals, ITS, lighting, signing, pavement marking, traffic handling, and construction sequencing
Apply a broad understanding of civil engineering and other fields to reach innovative and interdependent solutions
Design of MOT, signing & marking, signals, lighting, ITS, and all related documentation necessary for construction of plans
Conduct traffic analysis, safety audits, traffic impact studies, traffic signal timing, traffic signal design, and calculations forming the basis of design recommendations
Generate clear and concise technical reports summarizing analysis findings, description of the issues, and recommendations with supporting rationale
Read and interpret engineering plans, specifications, and reports
Prepares and checks plans, calculations, cost estimates, and recommendations

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or a related field
Minimum two (2) years of design experience for CA role
P.E, Registration required in the jurisdiction of the position or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
Proven knowledge and skills in both MicroStation and AutoCAD
Preferred candidates will have skills using traffic modeling software: Synchro, HCS, Vissim, and AGI32 (lighting)
Knowledge of roadway modeling software a plus: Civil 3D and OpenRoads.
