About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and contribute to the civil design of rail and transit infrastructure projects across Canada.
  • Prepare and review design drawings, specifications, technical reports, and construction documentation.
  • Develop solutions related to grading, drainage, corridors, roadworks, site development, utilities, and transportation infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams including track, structures, architecture, systems, utilities, and environmental specialists.
  • Support project planning, design development, and engineering delivery for major transit programs.
  • Interface directly with clients, transit authorities, contractors, and key project stakeholders.
  • Perform quality reviews and ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
  • Support proposal development, business development activities, and client relationship management efforts.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Canada is required
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering design and project delivery
  • Experience supporting transportation, rail, transit, municipal, or large infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles including grading, drainage, roadway design, utilities, and site development
  • Experience with industry-standard design software such as Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, or similar platforms.
