About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and contribute to the civil design of rail and transit infrastructure projects across Canada.
Prepare and review design drawings, specifications, technical reports, and construction documentation.
Develop solutions related to grading, drainage, corridors, roadworks, site development, utilities, and transportation infrastructure.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams including track, structures, architecture, systems, utilities, and environmental specialists.
Support project planning, design development, and engineering delivery for major transit programs.
Interface directly with clients, transit authorities, contractors, and key project stakeholders.
Perform quality reviews and ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
Support proposal development, business development activities, and client relationship management efforts.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Canada is required
5+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering design and project delivery
Experience supporting transportation, rail, transit, municipal, or large infrastructure projects
Strong understanding of civil engineering principles including grading, drainage, roadway design, utilities, and site development
Experience with industry-standard design software such as Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, or similar platforms.
