About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Structural design and analysis for a wide range of buildings projects, involving steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and archaic building systems
- Assisting in the preparation of drawings and specifications
- Conducting site investigations to document existing conditions
- Project Management of staff and clients on large and/or complex projects
- Support Studio Leaders in managing staff and financials
- Providing mentoring and guidance to junior staff
- Maintaining involvement in professional organizations to keep abreast of new industry developments.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering
- Master’s Degree would be considered an asset
- P.E. license required; S.E. license would be considered an asset
- 8-15 years of experience in the execution of residential, commercial, or institutional buildings projects as a Structural Engineer is required
- Experience in historic buildings preservation would be considered an asset
- Proficiency with computer analysis software (e.g. RISA, SAP, RAM)
- Working knowledge of REVIT
- Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions
- Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients’ toughest challenges
- High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way
