About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform design and analysis of complex concrete and steel bridge structures
Experience with long-span bridges is an asset
Advanced structural engineering and analysis capabilities, including ability to perform seismic analysis is a plus
Design of concrete and steel bridge structures
Develop designs, contract plans and specifications
Coordinate with and direct CAD production activities for drawing production
Conduct quality control activities for independent review and checking of structural designs
Interface with civil engineers for development of complete project plans and specifications
Develop engineering studies, reports and documentation
Oversee and review calculations and designs performed by engineers.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Professional Engineering License (PE) in New Jersey
A license in New York and/or Pennsylvania will be a plus
Bachelor’s degree in civil / structural engineering required
Master’s degree preferred
At least 15+ years of structural design experience in bridges and related structures
Project management experience is required
Experience delivering NJTA/NJDOT projects will be preferred
Ability to perform advanced structural analysis and designs
Experience in CSI Bridge is a plus
Familiarity with AASHTO, NJDOT, PennDOT and NJTA design and standards preferred
Proficient in leading technical aspects of bridge projects, writing reports, preparing drawings, specifications, and engineering calculations.
