About the role

  • support the design and implementation of innovative Stormwater and climate resiliency infrastructure projects
  • manage the planning, design, and construction of these projects
  • review of plans with permit applications submitted by engineers to the City of Richmond
  • planning and engineering design for complex assignments
  • preparation of design and construction documents for wastewater and water facilities
  • review of engineering designs, bid packages, RFPs, and Statements of Work
  • active leadership in assignments as a member of a team

Requirements

  • minimum of a B.S. degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • minimum 5+ years’ experience in stormwater design/engineering
  • demonstrated experience developing designs and construction contract documents for complex infrastructure projects
  • Professional Engineering (PE) licensure, or working towards licensure, preferred.
  • VA DEQ Plan Reviewer certification required or the ability to obtain one within three months
