About the role

  • Lead the overall coordination and delivery of complex alternative delivery projects, including Design-Build and Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, owners, and project stakeholders
  • Direct multi-discipline teams in high-intensity, often multi-office, project environments
  • Collaborate with project controls and scheduling staff to track performance, analyze Earned Value and schedules, and ensure projects meet objectives on time and within budget
  • Oversee quality control, client interactions, staffing efficiency, contract management, billing, and project profitability
  • Plan project staffing for each phase and coordinate the recruitment or assignment of personnel
  • Manage activities of Project Engineers and technical staff to keep projects on schedule and budget
  • Represent TYLin’s alternative delivery expertise in targeted markets and at industry events
  • Review and confirm financial and schedule plans for design and construction across all disciplines
  • Ensure adherence to contract agreements, cost controls, and approved designs
  • Lead and coordinate complex projects, interpreting and executing assignments efficiently
  • Collaborate with internal teams, clients, regulatory agencies, and other professional partners
  • Attend meetings, make presentations, and respond to inquiries as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • 15+ years of experience managing complex, multi-discipline highway design projects, including Design-Build or PPP projects
  • Experience with alternative delivery transportation projects exceeding $250M in construction value
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration in Florida, Georgia, or Texas, or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Preferred experience with Design-Build projects in Arizona, Florida, Chicago, and/or Texas
  • Willingness to travel
