About the role

  • Hydraulic and Hydrologic (1D and 2D) Modelling of stormwater systems
  • 1D/2D hydraulic modeling standards development and utilization (mesh resolution, inlet treatment, tidal boundaries, and flood extent calibration)
  • Model calibration and validation, including statistical benchmarks and use of multiple storm events
  • Modeling scenario development and assessments including climate change, sea level rise, and future land use scenarios
  • Model alignment with FEMA mapping standards
  • Modelling of combined and separate collection systems
  • Develop Stormwater Management Plans
  • Stormwater Water Quality Modeling
  • Support Infrastructure Planning Studies, including Master Plans, Secondary Plans, and Permitting
  • Engineering analysis, design support, servicing needs assessments, and servicing capacity evaluation
  • Supporting and mentoring junior staff

Requirements

  • Engineering Degree/Diploma or similar qualification is required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Proficiency in modelling software
  • PE certification in Maryland and Virginia or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Expertise in InfoWorks ICM, InfoSewer, and SewerGEMS
  • Familiarity with InfoWater and WaterGEMS is an advantage
  • Strong proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS
  • Demonstrated capabilities in hydraulic and hydrologic analysis
  • Strong understanding of FEMA standards and requirements
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and technical writing skills with attention to detail
