About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide strategic direction and leadership for complex IT and infrastructure projects.
- Oversee end-to-end project execution, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, quality, and timelines.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, government agencies, and key stakeholders.
- Lead cross-functional teams, including project managers, technical experts, consultants, and vendors.
- Develop project governance frameworks, risk management strategies, and performance monitoring mechanisms.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and organizational standards.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives and promote the adoption of innovative technologies.
- Monitor project financials, resource utilization, and overall project performance.
- Prepare executive-level reports, project status updates, and presentations for senior leadership.
- Resolve critical project issues and escalate risks appropriately to ensure business continuity.
- Mentor and coach project leadership teams to build organizational capability.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 15 years of experience in IT and/or infrastructure projects.
- At least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing large-scale government or public sector technology engagements.
- Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and large project portfolios.
- Demonstrated success in stakeholder management, project governance, and strategic planning.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent stakeholder and client relationship management.
- Expertise in project governance, risk management, and contract management.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, digital transformation, and enterprise technologies.
