About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with PMs and stakeholders to build custom solutions
  • Suggest technical and feature trade-offs to ensure solutions fit the brief and available delivery timeline without compromising quality
  • Develop robust, low-latency solutions using AWS services
  • Contribute to a shared ecosystem of services and tools under the internal open source model
  • Prioritize scalability and the best collective outcome over component ownership
  • Support sporting-event solutions with fixed deadlines and go-live requirements
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate development and enhance system logic while maintaining human oversight and accountability
  • Work in an XP-influenced environment using TDD and continuous delivery
  • Understand the rationale behind systems and the customers they serve
  • Shape projects and coach and mentor colleagues

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Several years of experience and readiness for a mid-level role
  • Recent bootcamp graduates, such as Makers Academy or Le Wagon, are welcome to apply
  • Strong proficiency in Python
  • Comfortable moving between and learning new programming languages
  • Everyday use of agentic coding workflows
  • Experience leveraging Claude Skills, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and autonomous agents
  • Experience building and scaling event-driven architectures using AWS Lambda, EventBridge, and DynamoDB
  • Follow sports and understand the context of the data and markets being built for
  • Java experience is helpful
  • Sports business experience is helpful
  • Hands-on Terraform experience is helpful
  • Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL data modeling for high-volume, low-latency environments is helpful
