About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the transition of signed deals from lease execution through construction mobilization
  • Work with the pre-lease team to absorb and package each signed deal
  • Complete handover checks against client requirements and ensure transfer items are evidenced or logged as gaps with assigned owners and resolution dates
  • Prepare and co-lead onsite project launch meetings with the client project lead
  • Prepare launch materials and briefings
  • Assign and track resulting actions to completion
  • Commission schedule and cost reviews as design detail matures
  • Carry specialist findings into the site baseline and reporting
  • Pursue resulting actions with the developer
  • Drive open items inherited from due diligence to documented closure within the launch window
  • Lead the weekly project call, design coordination, and developer interface through mobilization
  • Maintain the action log and produce milestone reporting inputs
  • Manage day-to-day interfaces with the developer, client project lead, and internal specialists
  • Transfer each site to the onsite delivery team at mobilization, including the current baseline, open item register, and accepted-risk record
  • Contribute to the development of the team handover check, launch format, and reporting standard
  • Apply lessons learned to subsequent sites
  • Manage two to three concurrent sites at different stages
  • Adhere to applicable SOX control responsibilities
  • Travel approximately 6–10 days per month, including in-person launch meetings

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Data center experience preferred in delivery, preconstruction, or development
  • Experience in mission critical facilities or complex technical buildings may be considered where transferable
  • Working knowledge of data center construction and the information and documentation required at construction mobilization
  • Experience with project handover, preconstruction coordination, change control, and open item tracking
  • Ability to interpret and act on schedule and cost reviews produced by specialists
  • Ability to pursue resulting issues with a developer
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects at different stages
  • Ability to secure information and commitments from parties who do not report to the role
  • Ability to lead meetings with senior stakeholders and secure assigned actions with owners and dates
  • Ability to work to a developing standard and contribute to establishing it
  • Technical skills to read, understand, and communicate contract requirements, including construction drawings and specifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including concise reporting to senior client stakeholders
  • Technological proficiency, including MS Suite and Google Workspace
  • Ability to understand and follow site HSSE policies
  • General technological proficiency
  • A degree is not required
