💰 $140,000 - $180,000 per year
About the role
- Define project scope and objectives by gathering business requirements and stakeholder input
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocations
- Coordinate design efforts with internal stakeholders and external consultants
- Lead engineering and construction teams through planning, design, preconstruction, and execution phases
- Manage multiple concurrent projects ensuring alignment with client goals and regulatory requirements
- Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation and contingency plans
- Develop and manage master project budgets and schedules; provide financial analysis and forecasting
- Track and report on actual costs, change orders, and final project accounting
- Lead cross-functional project teams and serve as liaison between client and design/construction professionals
- Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership
- Manage third-party vendors, contractors, and Owner-direct consultants
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, local codes, regulatory standards, and EHS procedures
- Lead QA/QC efforts, value engineering sessions, project documentation, closeout processes, and final reporting
- Resolve outstanding issues including change orders and quality disputes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 6–10 years of experience managing design and construction of commercial or life sciences facilities
- Proven track record in delivering high-quality, complex projects on time and within budget
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships with team members and stakeholders
- Ability to present to senior management to gain approvals
- Passion for solving complex challenges within aggressive timelines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software platforms
- Consulting experience preferred
- Understanding of regulatory and EHS standards and ability to ensure compliance
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders, third-party vendors, contractors, and Owner-direct consultants
- Experience with financial analysis, forecasting, budget and schedule management
- SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role and must be adhered to where applicable
