About the role

  • Define project scope and objectives by gathering business requirements and stakeholder input
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocations
  • Coordinate design efforts with internal stakeholders and external consultants
  • Lead engineering and construction teams through planning, design, preconstruction, and execution phases
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects ensuring alignment with client goals and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation and contingency plans
  • Develop and manage master project budgets and schedules; provide financial analysis and forecasting
  • Track and report on actual costs, change orders, and final project accounting
  • Lead cross-functional project teams and serve as liaison between client and design/construction professionals
  • Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership
  • Manage third-party vendors, contractors, and Owner-direct consultants
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, local codes, regulatory standards, and EHS procedures
  • Lead QA/QC efforts, value engineering sessions, project documentation, closeout processes, and final reporting
  • Resolve outstanding issues including change orders and quality disputes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 6–10 years of experience managing design and construction of commercial or life sciences facilities
  • Proven track record in delivering high-quality, complex projects on time and within budget
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships with team members and stakeholders
  • Ability to present to senior management to gain approvals
  • Passion for solving complex challenges within aggressive timelines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software platforms
  • Consulting experience preferred
  • Understanding of regulatory and EHS standards and ability to ensure compliance
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders, third-party vendors, contractors, and Owner-direct consultants
  • Experience with financial analysis, forecasting, budget and schedule management
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role and must be adhered to where applicable
