About the role
- Manage and oversee design management during concept, design development and construction phases for cultural and performing arts projects
- Collaborate with design professionals, contractors, and client representatives to align project goals with contract specifications
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules; monitor financial status and ensure timely invoicing
- Manage procurement strategies, including FF&E and specialized production equipment
- Proactively manage risks, change control, and performance metrics throughout design and construction
Requirements
- 3 - 5 years of cultural projects Project Management experience, or equivalent arts and cultural sector expertise
- Public sector project experience, specifically performing arts projects
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to be self-sufficient and independently manage / own multiple projects
- Ability to advise at a strategic level during the project conception stage
- Great time management skills
- Ability to build strong working relationships with clients and cross-functional team members
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, and industry-specific project management software
