About the role

  • Manage and oversee design management during concept, design development and construction phases for cultural and performing arts projects
  • Collaborate with design professionals, contractors, and client representatives to align project goals with contract specifications
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules; monitor financial status and ensure timely invoicing
  • Manage procurement strategies, including FF&E and specialized production equipment
  • Proactively manage risks, change control, and performance metrics throughout design and construction

Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years of cultural projects Project Management experience, or equivalent arts and cultural sector expertise
  • Public sector project experience, specifically performing arts projects
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to be self-sufficient and independently manage / own multiple projects
  • Ability to advise at a strategic level during the project conception stage
  • Great time management skills
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with clients and cross-functional team members
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, and industry-specific project management software
