About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Carry out the day-to-day operations of EHS department and contribute to the application of effective Health, Safety and Environmental management by providing technical support.
  • Assist in compliance reviews, general risk assessments and other safety assessments to support Health, Safety and Environmental management.
  • Maintain relevant EHS logs and documentation.
  • Assist in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Prepare applicable EHS reports as necessary.
  • Provide assistance and advice on EHS issues to make recommendations to facility management.
  • Lead detailed incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Promote incident prevention for the benefit of employees and visitors.
  • Assist in the development and presentation of relevant EHS training.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational, Health & Safety Sciences (or related field), or a minimum of three years’ experience in an Environmental, Health and Safety position in a heavy manufacturing industry environment; Technical writing a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willing to work different shifts and travel up to 70% of the time.
