About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyzes and interprets data to support organizational and client needs
  • Assists in creating reports, developing data collection and processing workflows, and transforming data into meaningful insights
  • Contributes to routine technical tasks under close supervision and supports data-driven decision-making across projects
  • Apply foundational knowledge of data analytics and data management techniques to support analysis of structured and unstructured datasets
  • Assist in the full data lifecycle, including data intake, cleaning, validation, transformation, and basic analysis
  • Develop and maintain code for data processing and analysis using tools such as Python, R, SQL, or similar technologies
  • Support the creation of reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to communicate insights clearly and effectively
  • Collaborate with team members to follow established QA/QC protocols and data governance standards
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to support data preparation, analytical file creation, and reporting efforts
  • Assist in maintaining data integrity, security, and availability in compliance with federal and organizational standards
  • Contribute to documentation of processes, methodologies, and code

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, statistics, informatics, public health, social science, or a related field
  • 0+ years of relevant experience (internships, academic projects, or research experience applicable)
  • Basic proficiency in one or more data analysis tools or programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL, or similar)
  • Understanding of fundamental statistical concepts and data analysis techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work on routine tasks with guidance
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
