About the role

  • Apply knowledge in modern data management and analytical technologies to manage, visualize, and analyze data from federal datasets
  • Support stewardship and analysis of government data focusing on justice, healthcare, social science, and public health data
  • Provide support across the data lifecycle including data intake, storage, synthesis, automation, and analytical development
  • Work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders to lead QA/QC protocols, defect tracking, and management for coding and data projects
  • Lead contract tasks and interface with the client as a technical project representative

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree + 9 years’ experience, Master’s degree + 7 years’ experience, PhD + 4 years’ experience
  • Strong skills in statistical, data analytics, and data management languages: SQL, Python, SAS, and R
  • Experience working with relational databases, such as MySQL Server
  • Experience in a data-focused field with subject matter degrees in informatics, statistics, justice, health, social science, economics, or related fields
  • Able to obtain and maintain public trust access for federal information systems and complete federal background checks
  • Proficiency in version control tools (Git, Bitbucket, Sourcetree)
  • Strong technical writing skills
