About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Independently drive analytics projects and execute objectives for an assigned business group
  • Support consultative partnerships with Lines of Business to produce analytic insights and informed, data-driven decisions
  • Drive quantifiable and optimized business results supporting company goals
  • Act as a force multiplier through high-impact analyses and initiatives across banking channels, segments, and products
  • Partner on assigned initiatives and drive decision science projects using quantitative analysis techniques, including machine learning
  • Foster communication and partnerships across multiple organizational levels, including mid-level managers
  • Build trust with business partners and support Line of Business and company goals
  • Pursue increased revenue and/or efficiency through data-driven insights and analytics
  • Continuously improve decision science delivery and outcomes
  • Champion tools that solve business challenges and deliver timely, accurate, repeatable solutions
  • Apply sound judgment and risk management while fostering a client-centric culture throughout design, development, and deployment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • English language fluency required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and related training or experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Banking, Finance, Decision/Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or Engineering
  • 2+ years of decision science/analytics project management experience with a diverse project focus and demonstrated results
  • Combination of academic aptitude, quantitative skills, business acumen, working knowledge of transaction processing application software, application processing systems, and collection inventory systems
  • Strategic and creative thinking
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to perform in a cross-functional and collaborative team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and support internal business partners, product sets, and projects, connecting insights with execution and business impact
  • Innovative and strategic thinking with ability to connect to practical application
  • Experience managing multiple projects with tight deadlines in a collaborative environment
  • Competency in statistical and analytical principles, tools, and techniques
  • Understanding of database environments including IBM DB2 and Oracle
  • Technical programming skills including SAS, SQL, and Toad
  • Exposure to applied data science tools including R, Python, and SAS E-Miner
  • Familiarity with data visualization and BI tools including Tableau and MicroStrategy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Preferred: Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field
  • Preferred: 7+ years of relevant experience
