About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Facilitate financial analysis, risk assessment, and credit structure recommendations for complex client and prospect profiles
- Support diligence and underwriting documentation for complex and larger credit relationships
- Prepare credit presentations and participate in discussions with Credit Officers and final approvers
- Coordinate legal documentation efforts through closing and funding
- Ensure loan agreements conform to approval documents
- Identify and address issues in loan documentation in consultation with Relationship Managers
- Analyze financial statements and projections and document client performance, risks, and mitigants
- Ensure Credit Process Metrics remain within prescribed tolerances
- Manage risk evaluation and compliance requirements for assigned portfolios and prospects
- Identify issues and follow through on remediation
- Serve as a client and internal point of contact for assigned portfolios, including possible site or client management visits
- Support and mentor Credit Delivery Analysts and Associates
- Research client, competitor, property segment, market, and industry risks and trends
- Support VP- and SVP-level teammates and increasingly own components of opportunities
- Participate in training and onboarding for new hires
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- 2–4+ years of experience in Commercial, Corporate, Leveraged, and/or Investment Banking or a related credit-focused environment, supporting underwriting and transaction execution
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office and related financial analysis tools
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, including identifying key credit risks and appropriate mitigants
- Working knowledge of asset-reliant (OORE, ABL-lite, balance-sheet dependent) and cash flow / enterprise value–reliant credit structures
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under time constraints
- Demonstrated success working in a collaborative team environment with Analysts, Relationship Managers, and Credit partners
- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including financial modeling and data analysis
- Preferred: Master’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience or another related advanced degree
- Preferred: 2+ years of equivalent experience in a Credit Delivery role
- English language fluency required
