About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Process defaulted accounts secured by collateral to minimize losses to the Bank
  • Adhere to government regulations, state laws, and Bank requirements for real-estate foreclosures and auto/ RV/ marine repossessions
  • Support clients through escalated calls and payment negotiations
  • Collaborate with vendors, attorneys, repo agents, and internal business partners
  • Process required paperwork and use tools and systems to support workflow decisions
  • Independently process collateral-secured accounts in varying stages of default toward resolution
  • Prepare, review, and analyze department reporting
  • Identify, mitigate, or communicate issues and concerns to appropriate parties
  • Monitor systems and business tools to determine and support appropriate outcomes and actions
  • Maintain professional relationships with peers, managers, clients, internal partners, and vendors
  • Meet or exceed monthly teammate performance metrics and department metrics
  • Support departmental controls for process adherence and KRI results
  • Evaluate accounts, system information, and reporting to determine next steps

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma/GED
  • 1+ years of banking, default, and/or client services experience
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex issues
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and multitask
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office software products
  • Familiarity with internal job-related systems
  • Preferred: 1+ years of repossession, foreclosure, or default-specific experience
  • Preferred: 2+ years of banking, default, and/or client services experience
  • Preferred: Higher-level/secondary education, some college, or an associate degree
