About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build foundational understanding of the Commercial Real Estate market, credit and products, systems and tools, and relationship management
  • Learn underwriting fundamentals, including financial analysis/modeling, risk evaluation, ongoing portfolio maintenance, and client relationship support
  • Collaborate with Relationship Managers to identify credit-worthy projects within targeted markets
  • Assist with prioritization of relationship calling strategies
  • Research and evaluate client, competitor, property segment, market, and industry risks and trends
  • Cross-train in identified Commercial Real Estate verticals
  • Perform financial modeling and analysis, project proposal analysis and screening, and project due diligence
  • Conduct prospecting, industry-specific and market research, and special projects
  • Prepare pitch books, pre-call plans, sales pipeline reviews and management, marketing materials, and sales tool support
  • Attend client calls and meetings and support the end-to-end client planning process
  • Work with PM Associates and Portfolio Managers to evaluate and underwrite new opportunities
  • Complete performance and monitoring activities for an assigned portfolio, including portfolio management and required risk monitoring

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Analyst I: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Analyst I: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Analyst I: Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
  • Analyst I: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Analyst I: Knowledge of credit principles
  • Analyst I: Ability to handle multiple priorities under time constraints
  • Analyst I: Demonstrated success working in a collaborative team environment
  • Analyst II: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Analyst II: 1–2 years' experience in a Banking Development program with a Commercial Real Estate track or other combined Commercial Real Estate experience
  • Analyst II: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Analyst II: Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
  • Analyst II: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Analyst II: Knowledge of credit principles
  • Analyst II: Ability to handle multiple priorities under time constraints
  • Analyst II: Demonstrated success working in a collaborative team environment
  • English language fluency required
  • Analyst I preferred: Master's in Real Estate or combined Commercial Real Estate experience through internships or other experiences; or an equivalent combination of educational and experience or other related advanced degree
  • Analyst I preferred: Foundational knowledge of ARGUS Enterprise software and use of third-party Real Estate Data Sources (CoStar, REIS, Axiometrics)
  • Analyst II preferred: Master's in Real Estate or combined Commercial Real Estate experience through internships or other experiences; or an equivalent combination of educational and experience or other related advanced degree
  • Analyst II preferred: Foundational knowledge of ARGUS Enterprise software and use of third-party Real Estate Data Sources (CoStar, REIS, Axiometrics)
