About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and implement advanced cybersecurity data solutions to identify risks and guide response and security assurance efforts
  • Perform and enhance data acquisition and analysis to uncover and remediate significant vulnerabilities
  • Integrate data from information security technologies across various environments
  • Define and improve automatable security scenarios and processes
  • Serve as a technical escalation point for challenging security data issues
  • Diagnose recurring problems and create reusable solutions for security data consumption
  • Assess emerging threats, tools, and architectural options and recommend technical plans, priorities, and goals
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams across the security development lifecycle
  • Develop and maintain security baselines, guardrails, and control patterns supporting regulatory and policy compliance
  • Lead technical execution of major incident response and forensic activities
  • Coordinate incident-response tasks and improve playbooks and processes
  • Provide guidance, coaching, technical training, reviews, and best practices to security engineers
  • Enable, educate, and evangelize data excellence across the organization

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, and work-related experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in security engineering or related cybersecurity roles
  • Deep specialized knowledge in cybersecurity principles, theories, and concepts
  • Proven experience in software development lifecycle security practices
  • Deep knowledge of threat modeling, security testing, and penetration testing
  • Experience implementing and managing complex information security technologies
  • Advanced cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC preferred
  • Experience with security tooling and cloud-scale data systems such as Azure Data Explorer and accompanying cloud services preferred
  • Experience supporting non-customer-facing .NET-based services
  • Familiarity with emerging cybersecurity technologies, industry trends, and strategic risk management preferred
  • English language fluency required
  • Must not require employer sponsorship for work visa status or employment authorization
