About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support corporate development, mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships and venture investment activities
Lead financial modeling, valuation, and analytical support for acquisition, divestiture, partnership and venture investment opportunities
Support end-to-end transaction execution, including sourcing, diligence, structuring, closing, and post-close monitoring of acquired or invested companies
Conduct complex financial and strategic analysis
Coordinate and lead due diligence efforts across internal teams and external advisors
Prepare investment and transaction materials for executive and stakeholder review
Manage transaction-related workflows
Support strategic planning efforts by developing materials that evaluate Truist’s inorganic growth options and emerging technology or industry trends
Track and report on transaction and investment activity across the organization

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related analytical discipline
5–8 years of experience in corporate development, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or related financial roles
Strong experience in financial modeling, valuation, and underwriting of complex transactions
Demonstrated ability to analyze and forecast financial statements and evaluate strategic and financial tradeoffs
Strong business acumen and ability to interact effectively with senior executives and external partners
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adhere to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
