About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support corporate development, mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships and venture investment activities
  • Lead financial modeling, valuation, and analytical support for acquisition, divestiture, partnership and venture investment opportunities
  • Support end-to-end transaction execution, including sourcing, diligence, structuring, closing, and post-close monitoring of acquired or invested companies
  • Conduct complex financial and strategic analysis
  • Coordinate and lead due diligence efforts across internal teams and external advisors
  • Prepare investment and transaction materials for executive and stakeholder review
  • Manage transaction-related workflows
  • Support strategic planning efforts by developing materials that evaluate Truist’s inorganic growth options and emerging technology or industry trends
  • Track and report on transaction and investment activity across the organization

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related analytical discipline
  • 5–8 years of experience in corporate development, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or related financial roles
  • Strong experience in financial modeling, valuation, and underwriting of complex transactions
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and forecast financial statements and evaluate strategic and financial tradeoffs
  • Strong business acumen and ability to interact effectively with senior executives and external partners
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adhere to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
