About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensures the stability, resiliency, and operational integrity of consumer and small business banking platforms.
- Leads the transformation of PSO into a proactive, engineering-led capability.
- Defines and executes a modern operating model emphasizing observability-driven insights and self-healing systems.
- Eliminates manual operational toil through automation and platform capabilities.
- Partners closely with engineering, product, and business leaders to embed reliability, security, and resilience in development.
- Builds and develops high-performing engineering teams.
- Identifies and mitigates operational and technology risks through automated controls.
- Drives innovation and continuous improvement in operational standards and processes.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in technology operations
- Advanced leadership and management experience leading complex technology operations teams
- Proven proficiency in IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, compliance, and enterprise risk management
- Proven track record in strategic planning, technology governance, and leading large, complex operations
- Experience leading Agile, DevOps, and SRE teams and processes at scale (preferred)
- Financial services experience, particularly in consumer or small business banking, with a strong understanding of regulatory expectations for operational resilience (e.g., FFIEC, OCC Heightened Standards) (preferred)
- Hands-on background as a software engineer, SRE, or platform engineer earlier in career (preferred)
- Experience applying AI/ML or GenAI to production operations (incident triage, log analysis, automated remediation, knowledge management) (preferred)
