About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead a team or teams responsible for technology solutions that meet business needs
- Identify and resolve complex technical, operational, risk management, and organizational challenges
- Direct engineering and deployment of significant delivery projects
- Lead delivery of mission-critical payments capabilities (Zelle / faster payments)
- Lead complex initiatives with automation-first, AI/DUO-enabled end-to-end delivery
- Act as an Agile champion
- Set engineering standards, controls, and quality bars
- Develop departmental plans
- Maintain appropriate Risk Profile through owning the first line of Risk defense
- Has full management responsibilities for teammates (hiring, coaching, performance reviews)
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree
- 8 years of experience in IT software engineering
- 5 years’ relevant business experience
- 5 years’ experience in project management
- 2 years of management experience
- Broad and in-depth knowledge of technology trends
- Ability to translate enterprise level strategic planning information into software
- Executive level communications skills (strong negotiation/facilitation/presentation skills)
- Ability to lead projects of significant complexity and risk exposure
- Ability to exercise judgment in solving technical, operational, and organizational challenges
- Ability to lead and manage the performance of multiple teams against a set of financial and operational objectives
