About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in end-to-end suspicious activity investigation and reporting process
  • Conduct timely, comprehensive investigations of customers
  • Analyze customer transaction activity to ascertain legitimacy
  • Communicate results of analysis and/or research to FIU leadership
  • Prepare written analysis of research findings
  • Communicate with Relationship Managers and branch associates
  • Support the development and maintenance of internal process manuals
  • Conduct link analysis, data mining and analytics
  • Utilize a wide variety of research and transaction monitoring tools
  • Provide information for various regulatory and analytical reports
  • Maintain strong knowledge of all applicable current and proposed BSA/AML laws and regulations
  • Participate in BSA/AML training
  • Maintain awareness of national and world events and industry trends

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • College Degree or equivalent education, training and work-related experience
  • Six years of banking, financial industry or related experience; preferably in a branch, audit, compliance or commercial lending related capacity
  • Strong knowledge and experience with BSA regulations and related compliance requirements
  • Thorough working knowledge of the risk indicator trends in money laundering, terrorist financing or other related financial crime
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong investigative research and documentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a high stress, fast paced, and rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
  • Ability to work independently
