About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the container platform ecosystem at Truist
  • Contribute to and support the corporate Enterprise Container Strategy
  • Improve system performance, efficiency, and introduce new capabilities
  • Develop automation for cluster installation, system upgrades, patch management, and compliance
  • Monitor the health of the overall environment
  • Manage cluster capacity
  • Provide level two operational support
  • Drive troubleshooting calls and provide status updates
  • Conduct root cause analysis of issues and perform code review/unit testing
  • Author/edit system documentation/playbook(s)
  • Guide delivery teams on DevSecOps practices
  • Champion DevSecOps as a strategic asset
  • Build and maintain the automation and streamlining of software delivery and operations
  • Liaise with DevSecOps Center for Enablement (C4E) and share information with other teams
  • Participate in Truist Agile Guild and Agile DevOps Communities of Practice

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training
  • Seven+ years of experience in software engineering or IT, including at least four years in git based application code development and/or DevOps Engineering and/or CI/CD pipeline management
  • Foundational cloud architecture knowledge
  • Ability to write code
  • Ability to construct basic application build pipeline
  • Experience in Agile teams and knowledge of Agile development & release practices (preferred)
  • Banking or financial services experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and Microservices design standards (preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, RedHat OpenShift, Scripting/Automation, and Container platform administration/support (preferred)
  • Any Linux administration experience (preferably RHEL/CoreOS) (preferred)
  • Experience with Gitlab, Azure DevOps/Jenkins, Rally, JFrog Artifactory/Docker Registry/RedHat Registry, Ansible, Gitops, ArgoCD (preferred)
  • Knowledge of on-premises infrastructure and cloud-based deployments and configurations, along with monitoring and alerting (preferred)
