About the role
- Serve as the primary technical expert for Protegrity within the organization
- Responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise level data protection solutions
- Lead the integration of Protegrity with new and existing business applications
- Ensure sensitive data is secured through tokenization, masking, and encryption
- Develop, test, and optimize data protection policies, workflows, and integration patterns
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Protegrity agents, connectors, policy enforcement, and application integration
- Partner with application teams, architects, and cybersecurity stakeholders to ensure secure data handling throughout solution lifecycles
- Maintain documentation for architectures, integration guides, runbooks, and operational procedures
- Mentor and train junior engineers to build internal capability and ensure continuity of subject matter expertise
- Support ongoing operations and incident response activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and eight years of experience in systems engineering or administration or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Deep specialized and/or broad functional knowledge in applied enterprise information security technologies including but not limited to firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, network operating systems, identity management, database activity monitoring, encryption, content filtering, and Mainframe security
- Previous experience in leading complex IT projects
- 5–8+ years in software engineering, cybersecurity engineering, or data engineering roles.
- Hands-on experience integrating Protegrity or a similar enterprise data protection platform.
- Strong knowledge of tokenization, data masking, and encryption
- Experience with application integration patterns
- Proficiency with at least one modern programming language (Java, Python, .NET, etc.).
- Strong SQL and analytical skills.
- Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Prior experience mentoring or leading junior engineers.
- Background with big data platforms is a plus.
