About the role

  • Serve as the primary technical expert for Protegrity within the organization
  • Responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise level data protection solutions
  • Lead the integration of Protegrity with new and existing business applications
  • Ensure sensitive data is secured through tokenization, masking, and encryption
  • Develop, test, and optimize data protection policies, workflows, and integration patterns
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Protegrity agents, connectors, policy enforcement, and application integration
  • Partner with application teams, architects, and cybersecurity stakeholders to ensure secure data handling throughout solution lifecycles
  • Maintain documentation for architectures, integration guides, runbooks, and operational procedures
  • Mentor and train junior engineers to build internal capability and ensure continuity of subject matter expertise
  • Support ongoing operations and incident response activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and eight years of experience in systems engineering or administration or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Deep specialized and/or broad functional knowledge in applied enterprise information security technologies including but not limited to firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, network operating systems, identity management, database activity monitoring, encryption, content filtering, and Mainframe security
  • Previous experience in leading complex IT projects
  • 5–8+ years in software engineering, cybersecurity engineering, or data engineering roles.
  • Hands-on experience integrating Protegrity or a similar enterprise data protection platform.
  • Strong knowledge of tokenization, data masking, and encryption
  • Experience with application integration patterns
  • Proficiency with at least one modern programming language (Java, Python, .NET, etc.).
  • Strong SQL and analytical skills.
  • Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Prior experience mentoring or leading junior engineers.
  • Background with big data platforms is a plus.
