About the role
- Responsible for Premier and Branch supervisory oversight, execution and implementation of first-line risk management, and business led governance routines
- Lead a large team of professionals in the first line of defense
- Provide direction and guidance for aggregated oversight and governance for all risk types
- Responsible for the implementation of the company’s supervisory and risk programs
- Support risk identification, mitigation, and coordination with BURE
- Assist in business line management with identifying, assessing, controlling, mitigating, and communicating risks
- Ensure all Premier and Branch Banking leaders are aware and accountable to operate within Risk Appetite
- Leads Issue Management and oversees the execution of enterprise-wide Internal Control Reviews
- Maintain a strong understanding of external competitive developments and their impact on the Branch and Premier business and strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or science/academic field, or equivalent education and related training or experience
- Fifteen years of experience in financial industry, preferably in Operations or Risk Management related areas
- Broad risk and regulatory knowledge with an emphasis on: Credit, Market, Liquidity, Compliance, Operational, Reputation and Strategic Risks
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- High-level analytical, planning, problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
- Thorough working knowledge of bank regulations
- Demonstrate high level of competency in consulting and managing projects.
