About the role
- Develop and execute detailed manual testing plans and test cases for API, and integration testing
- Perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing to validate new features and ensure overall product quality
- Collaborate with developers and product owners to clarify requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage
- Identify, document, and track defects; work with development teams to ensure timely resolution
- Contribute to automation efforts by creating and maintaining automated test scripts for high-priority workflows (approximately 25% of role)
- Assist in integrating automated tests with pipelines and support continuous testing practices
- Analyze test results, prepare test reports, and communicate quality metrics to stakeholders
- Participate in test strategy discussions and contribute to improving QA processes and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and four to seven years of experience or equivalent education and software engineering training or experience
- In-depth knowledge in information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement IT best practices
- Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function
- Ability to plan and manage projects and solve complex problems by applying best practices
- Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates
- Master’s degree and ten+ years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience (preferred)
- Experience with manual testing of web and API-based applications (preferred)
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools and QA documentation practices (preferred)
- Basic understanding of test automation concepts and willingness to contribute to automation efforts (preferred)
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (preferred)
