About the role

  • The Tactical Sourcing Specialist is expected to coordinate general sourcing activities, including statement of work, work authorization, change orders, renewals, amendments, and Non-Disclosure Agreements
  • Works with Risk team to ensure compliance with banking regulations
  • Builds relationships with business partners, suppliers, Contract Manager, Category Directors/Managers and Procurement Operations
  • Manages all aspects of and drives request through the Truist procure to pay process
  • Works directly with Truist stakeholders, suppliers, and contract management on contractual provisions related to low spend/risk projects
  • Verifies contract terms and conditions align with business needs and appropriate parent agreement
  • Establishes relationships with business partners, suppliers, Contract Manager, Category Directors/Managers and Procurement Operations
  • Guarantees department procedures are followed including: managing business expectations and dates, weekly status updates, and legal/contract manager assignment
  • Reviews contract request for potential Purchase Requisitions methodology
  • Provides potential request to manager for approval and provides guidance to business on Purchase Requisition process
  • Verifies risk ratings are correct in system of record based on business needs
  • Confirm spend is reasonable based on market and business’ budget
  • Complies with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
  • This is 4 days in office/1 day remote
  • This is a non-exempt position

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant business field of study or 1-3 years of experience in organizational Sourcing/Procurement or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of procurement and supply chain management
  • Familiar with contractual structure Identify legal and business issues and risks
  • Ability to interact tactfully with numerous stakeholders
  • Capability to prioritize own workload to meet competing deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
