About the role
- Support the container platform ecosystem at Truist
- Contribute to and support the corporate Enterprise Container Strategy
- Improve system performance and efficiency
- Develop automation for cluster installation and system upgrades
- Manage cluster capacity and provide level two operational support
- Drive troubleshooting calls and provide updates to management
- Conduct root cause analysis with experienced team members
- Manage application build pipelines and DevSecOps practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training
- Seven+ years of experience in software engineering or IT
- Minimum four years in git based application code development and/or DevOps Engineering
- Foundational cloud architecture knowledge
- Ability to write code
- Ability to construct basic application build pipeline
- Experience working in Agile teams
- Banking or financial services experience (preferred)
- Knowledge about Kubernetes design standards (preferred)
- Knowledge about Micro-services design standards (preferred)
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, RedHat OpenShift, Scripting/automation, Container platform administration/support (preferred)
- Any Linux administration experience (preferred)
- Familiarity with Gitlab, Azure DevOps/Jenkins, Rally, JFrog Artifactory/Docker Registry/RedHat Registry, Ansible, Gitops, ArgoCD (preferred)
- Working knowledge of on-premises infrastructure and cloud-based deployments and configurations
