About the role
- Build and continuously improve data gathering, modeling, and reporting capabilities.
- Design and maintain data pipelines and ETL workflows to ensure efficient processing of large datasets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineers, analysts, product owners, scientists) to identify and meet data needs.
- Develop and maintain data warehouse solutions, ensuring performance and scalability.
- Implement quality checks and enforce data governance best practices.
- Contribute to the self-service data platform and empower teams with accessible data.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience as a Data/BI Engineer.
- Strong SQL skills with hands-on experience in SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Proven experience with Snowflake (highly desirable), Redshift, or BigQuery.
- Experience developing pipelines with Airflow or equivalent orchestration software.
- Proficiency in Python (notebooks and data processing).
- Hands-on experience with DBT for data modeling and transformations.
- Experience with AWS or GCP services (e.g., S3/GCS, Lambda/Cloud Functions, EMR/Dataproc, Glue/Dataflow, Athena).
- Strong understanding of data cleaning, transformation, and ETL design.
- Experience implementing data quality checks and monitoring.
- Strong and clear communication skills.
