About the role
- Lead and manage a small engineering squad (2 Full-Stack Engineers).
- Act as primary point of contact and interface with Bend Health leadership.
- Lead technical execution and help scale the team, including mentoring two senior engineers.
- Write production-quality code alongside the team (hands-on role).
- Own backend (Ruby) and frontend (React + TypeScript) development.
- Collaborate with the Product team to refine requirements and tickets.
- Drive adoption of automation and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Support major launches and cross-team collaboration (e.g., with Lyra).
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong background in Ruby (backend).
- Proficiency in React and TypeScript (frontend).
- Experience with AWS.
- Experience with Postgres.
- Experience with Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with end-to-end automation (Playwright preferred).
- Proven experience managing and mentoring engineers.
