About the role
- Lead and manage a small engineering squad (2 Full-Stack Engineers)
- Write production-quality code alongside the team
- Own backend (Ruby) and frontend (React + TypeScript) development
- Collaborate with the Product team to refine requirements and tickets
- Drive the adoption of automation and ensure high-quality deliverables
- Act as the primary interface with Bend Health leadership
- Scale the team, manage and mentor two senior engineers
- Lead technical execution and be the primary point of contact
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong background in Ruby (backend)
- Proficiency in React + TypeScript (frontend)
- Experience with AWS, Postgres, Kubernetes
- Familiarity with end-to-end automation (Playwright preferred)
- Proven experience managing and mentoring engineers
- Startup mindset: proactive, low ego, collaborative, business-aware
- Comfortable wearing multiple hats and thinking beyond tickets
- Based in Latin America (role targets LATAM and the application asks if you are based in Latin America)
