About the role
- Lead and manage a small engineering squad (2 Full-Stack Engineers).
- Write production-quality code alongside the team.
- Own backend (Ruby) and frontend (React + TypeScript) development.
- Collaborate with the Product team to refine requirements and tickets.
- Drive the adoption of automation and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Act as the primary interface with Bend Health leadership.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong background in Ruby (backend).
- Proficiency in React + TypeScript (frontend).
- Experience with AWS, Postgres, Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with end-to-end automation (Playwright preferred).
- Proven experience managing and mentoring engineers.
- Startup mindset: proactive, low ego, collaborative, business-aware.
- Comfortable wearing multiple hats and thinking beyond tickets.
