About the role

  • Own the AWS infrastructure end-to-end in a highly hands-on capacity.
  • Design, deploy, and operate cloud environments with strong principles of automation and reliability.
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines and implement secure secrets management through AWS Secrets Manager.
  • Develop automation scripts in Python and Bash to eliminate manual processes.
  • Work across core AWS services, containers, monitoring, and observability, partnering with software engineers to troubleshoot production issues.
  • Implement guardrails, monitoring, and alerts to prevent unnecessary spending.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering or Application Engineering with integrated Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Advanced, in-depth knowledge of AWS, with extensive experience deploying and managing scalable, cloud-native architectures.
  • Proven track record using Pulumi (or similar tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation) to manage complex infrastructure.
  • Strong experience building CI/CD workflows in GitHub and automating manual processes.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, ECS, and Kubernetes for managing microservices.
  • Advanced knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as New Relic.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead infrastructure initiatives and clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
