About the role
- File legal documents in Washington state and federal courts, ensuring compliance with applicable rules
- Manage non-billable litigation support tasks, including client intake, conflict checks, and file creation
- Schedule depositions, meetings, and coordinate related logistics
- Maintain attorneys’ calendars and contact lists in Outlook
- Draft, organize, proofread, and finalize legal documents and correspondence
- Uphold confidentiality while managing sensitive client and case information
- Provide litigation support for a busy litigation practice in a collaborative, close-knit firm environment
- Maintain high accuracy, organization, and client service standards
Requirements
- 5+ years of litigation legal assistant or secretary experience MINIMUM in Washington State (King County preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Strong knowledge of Washington court rules and filing procedures
- Exceptional spelling, grammar, proofreading, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
- Experience with client intake and conflict check processes (nice-to-have)
- Comfort working in a lower-tech environment with a shared drive system (nice-to-have)
