About the role
- Manage a full family law caseload—motions, depositions, filings, hearings—in divorce, custody, and related matters.
- Build and nurture client relationships while generating or engaging existing referral streams; leverage business development skills.
- Collaborate with a small team of three family law lawyers plus estate and civil litigation attorneys across probate, wills, and trusts.
- Participate in community events and outreach to grow the firm’s presence and referral base.
- Work on-site in Uptown Dallas, maintaining full-time in-office schedule (8–5) with occasional flexibility as needed.
Requirements
- Board-certified in Family Law in Texas
- 10+ years of experience handling contested family law matters
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited school
- Active membership in the State Bar of Texas
- Demonstrated ability to manage a large caseload (40–60 active matters concurrently)
- Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Ambitious, disciplined, and comfortable working full-time in-office (8–5)
- (Nice-to-have) Existing book of family law business or referral network
- (Nice-to-have) Background from a solo practice or a major Dallas firm
- (Nice-to-have) Experience in estate planning, probate, or civil litigation
