About the role

  • Manage a full family law caseload—motions, depositions, filings, hearings—in divorce, custody, and related matters.
  • Build and nurture client relationships while generating or engaging existing referral streams; leverage business development skills.
  • Collaborate with a small team of three family law lawyers plus estate and civil litigation attorneys across probate, wills, and trusts.
  • Participate in community events and outreach to grow the firm’s presence and referral base.
  • Work on-site in Uptown Dallas, maintaining full-time in-office schedule (8–5) with occasional flexibility as needed.

Requirements

  • Board-certified in Family Law in Texas
  • 10+ years of experience handling contested family law matters
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited school
  • Active membership in the State Bar of Texas
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a large caseload (40–60 active matters concurrently)
  • Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Ambitious, disciplined, and comfortable working full-time in-office (8–5)
  • (Nice-to-have) Existing book of family law business or referral network
  • (Nice-to-have) Background from a solo practice or a major Dallas firm
  • (Nice-to-have) Experience in estate planning, probate, or civil litigation
