About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Meet and exceed established sales quotas on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis through consistent effort and strategic planning
- Execute targeted sales activities including cold calls, in-person appointments, and prospect presentations to close new business and expand your client base
- Develop and maintain a robust book of business, ensuring high renewal rates and long-term client satisfaction through proactive relationship management
- Leverage industry-leading sales and marketing tools to identify prospects, track opportunities, and execute results-oriented campaigns
- Collaborate effectively with Client Service teams to analyze renewal business, identify cross-sell opportunities, and seamlessly place new accounts
- Serve as a subject matter expert in personal insurance products, staying current with industry trends and best practices to provide clients with tailored solutions
- Mentor and support less experienced Producers, sharing sales methodologies and guiding them through the production cycle to foster team success
- Maintain detailed records and analytics to monitor performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and optimize sales strategies
- Follow established sales methodologies and best practices, utilizing company tools and sales management platforms to maximize efficiency and transparency
Requirements
What you’ll need- Valid state-issued Property and Casualty or Life and Health Insurance Producer License
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Sales, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, or a related field of study
- Minimum 5+ years of proven experience in an insurance sales role, with demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Proficiency with professional software programs including Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
- Excellent internal and external communication skills with the ability to build rapport and maintain professional relationships
- Demonstrated time management and organizational abilities to juggle multiple clients and priorities effectively
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset
- Knowledge of personal insurance products including auto, homeowners, umbrella, and related coverage types
- Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Assertive yet empathetic approach to sales with genuine interest in understanding client needs and providing solutions
