About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Works for the Supply Chain team as a technical resource supporting external supplied hydromechanical and thermal products, electronic assemblies, and other products or services of a technical and specialized nature.
  • Helps to assess supplier capabilities prior to supplier selection, as well as supports supplier non-conformance on legacy product.
  • Works with suppliers to identify opportunities for manufacturability improvements, address delivery challenges, part execution and quality issues that may arise during the manufacturing process.
  • Liaison between the Supplier, Triumph Engineering and Triumph Quality.
  • Take internal operational challenges and drive process improvements in the supply base.
  • Interface with internal teams and Suppliers in respectful way; facilitate productive communications between Engineering and Supplier regarding technical risks, challenges and opportunities.
  • Uphold Quality and Process System requirements; work within quality system to manage review and disposition of supplier non-conformities.
  • Support RCCA process with supplier as needed.
  • Use technical skillset to bring cost reduction ideas to Supplier/Engineering.
  • Conduct onsite Supplier Risk Assessments.
  • Proactively manage poor performing suppliers using quality data trend analysis.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor or Associate degree in technical field
  • Experience working in a technical capacity in a Manufacturing Environment, preferably working on cross-functional teams
  • Experience working with external manufacturers and/or service providers
  • Ability to define problems, analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative, quality, and results-driven work ethic.
  • Strong PC skills (Word, Excel, Access, & PowerPoint).
  • Travel Required ~40%
