About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- The Site EHS Specialist ensures regulatory compliance and supports a strong safety culture through incident investigation, environmental management, training, and coordination with employees, the Safety Committee, and site leadership.
- Serve as a safety champion, promoting proactive hazard awareness, safe behaviors, and continuous improvement throughout the site.
- Coordinate and guide the Safety Committee to ensure productive meetings, effective follow‑through on action items, and meaningful participation in safety initiatives.
- Assist with emergency preparedness planning, drills, equipment readiness, and required documentation.
- Manage and maintain assigned safety programs, including lockout/tagout, mobile equipment, contractor safety, and safe work practices.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, injuries, and illnesses; perform root‑cause analysis and support implementation and verification of corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with GMP and applicable regulatory standards, including WA OSHA, WA EPA, and all relevant federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations.
- Maintain Triumph’s Environmental Management System (EMS) and support ongoing compliance with ISO 14001 Environmental Management System requirements.
- Deliver EHS training programs including new‑hire orientations, refresher courses, and regulatory certifications.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Physical Sciences, Business Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3–6 years of experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) roles.
- Professional EHS certifications (REM, CIH, ASP, CSP, CHMM) preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and report safety incident data in accordance with corporate reporting requirements.
- Ability to provide accurate and consistent EHS guidance and support to site management.
- Experience with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or comparable environmental or quality management systems preferred.
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing preferred.
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies, including Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing, preferred.
