About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Create and improve manufacturing procedures and estimates using Lean practices.
Specify detailed planning of individual products and processes.
Support manufacturing to correct, improve or initiate processes/tooling in a timely manner.
Develop and recommend courses of action in manufacturing.
Prepare and review forms and procedures to promote operational efficiency.
Develop design and install methods, material handling and workstation equipment.
Prepare part programs and related information for CNC areas.
MRB support in rework instructions and corrective action to prevent reoccurrence.
Create engineering change actions.
Work with operators to solve problems and make improvements.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field plus 2 years of relatable experience.
Associates degree in an engineering field with 5 years of related experience.
5 years of Aerospace, Automotive, or equivalent Manufacturing Engineering experience.
Advanced knowledge of precision measuring tools, gauges, and other inspection devices.
Strong experience with CAD and CAM Software (SolidWorks, CATIAv5 and Mastercam). Must be able to create machine programs in G-Code.
Knowledge of aerospace industry specifications.
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and waste reduction concepts.
General knowledge of metallurgical properties including heat treating various types of metals.
Proficient in Microsoft Applications for recording and communicating efforts and statuses.
Team based problem solving.
