About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the development, improvement, and documentation of manufacturing processes used in the production of aerospace hydraulic actuators and their components
  • Interpret engineering drawings
  • Assist with production planning
  • Support hands-on manufacturing activities
  • Develop written manufacturing plans, sketches, and work instructions based on engineering drawings and specifications
  • Use CAD software to design fixturing, tooling, and manufacturing models
  • Collaborate with production operators, supervisors, and cross functional teams to improve product flow and quality
  • Support and implement process improvement initiatives
  • Assist with manufacturing capacity and capability planning
  • Participate in evaluating and developing manufacturing processes by conducting research and testing, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials, working with equipment vendors, and gathering feedback from operators
  • Design and develop tools (physical and analytical) to enhance production processes
  • Support quality assurance and compliance efforts
  • Provide day to day production support
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, and networking
  • Contribute to site wide initiatives and team objectives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent required
  • Pursuing a BA degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
  • Familiarity with precision measuring tools, gauges, and inspection devices
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem solving skills
  • Interest in machining and manufacturing processes
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across all levels of the organization
  • Must provide steel toed/safety shoes
