About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Hand-finish production parts independently by deburring and other methods
  • Remove excess metal and surface defects from hardware, material, and assembled parts before plating or shipping
  • Select abrasive belts or wheels based on grain size, specified finish, product, and amount of metal to remove
  • Attach wheels or belts to the drive mechanism
  • Operate equipment and manipulate workpieces against abrasive wheels, or portable wheels against workpieces
  • Examine parts for acceptable dimensions and finish
  • Follow blueprint and work instruction requirements
  • Comply with EHS policies, training, instructions, and PPE requirements
  • Report accidents, incidents, near misses, and dangerous situations to management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Knowledge of MRP manufacturing software
  • Knowledge of the deburring process
  • Ability to complete work with little to no supervision
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • Ability to follow blueprints and work instructions
  • U.S. work authorization without company sponsorship
  • For applicable SELECT US positions, must be a U.S. Person under ITAR or eligible for U.S. Government export-license approval
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role
