About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Operate, load, set up, monitor, and maintain automated manufacturing equipment and CNC machines producing precision aerospace components
Perform machine setups and verify tooling according to work instructions and production requirements
Conduct in-process and final quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments
Monitor machine performance, make routine adjustments, improve efficiency, and resolve minor process or equipment issues
Perform basic machine maintenance and preventative upkeep; report equipment concerns
Complete production and quality documentation accurately
Identify opportunities for improvements in safety, quality, efficiency, and shop organization
Follow company safety procedures, quality standards, aerospace manufacturing requirements, EHS policies, and PPE requirements
Report accidents, incidents, near misses, and dangerous situations to management

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or GED required
Machine Operator 1: 0–2 years of manufacturing, machine operations, or production experience preferred
Machine Operator 2: 2–4 years of experience operating CNC machines, automated equipment, or similar manufacturing machinery
Machine Operator 3: 4+ years of experience operating and setting up CNC or automated manufacturing equipment, preferably in aerospace or precision manufacturing
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machine operation, quality standards, and aerospace manufacturing processes
Ability to read and follow work instructions, procedures, technical documentation, blueprints, and quality specifications
Ability to safely operate production equipment
Proficiency with precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges
Basic math skills and ability to perform measurements and calculations
Ability to troubleshoot routine machine and process issues and optimize production efficiency
Ability to adapt to changing production priorities and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Commitment to continuous improvement, workplace organization (6S), and maintaining a clean work area
U.S. applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
For applicable ITAR/EAR-controlled positions, must be a U.S. Person or eligible for approval for a U.S. Government export license
