About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform all related maintenance duties on plant equipment and machines
- Troubleshoot, design, retrofit, and repair electrical systems, electronic controls, automation systems, PLCs, communication systems, servo drive systems, and computer-related equipment
- Troubleshoot, repair, and install CNC machine tool mechanical, geometrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Design, install, troubleshoot, and repair precise high-pressure hydraulic systems
- Maintain filtration systems and control critical component inventory
- Schedule and perform annual, semi-annual, and quarterly preventive maintenance on machine tools and facility equipment
- Act as the focal point for Total Preventative Maintenance by collecting, reviewing, and reporting completion sheets
- Perform miscellaneous fabrication work to support production needs
- Meet production deadlines by following manufacturing schedules and procedures
- Work with support resources and cell leaders to resolve production problems
- Assist the maintenance supervisor in creating task SOPs and work instructions
- Collaborate with technical staff and management to identify process improvements and plant changes
- Assist in developing and implementing action plans to diagnose root causes of equipment issues
- Maintain a safe working environment and clean work areas
- Participate in FOD, 5S, TPM, PM, and process improvement programs
- Train others on proficient job tasks
- Be available for unannounced overtime and on-call weekend emergencies
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED required
- At least 1 year of industrial maintenance, CNC machine tool, or hydraulics experience for Technician 1; higher levels require 3 or 5 years
- Two-year technical degree in a related field may substitute for some experience requirements as specified for Technician levels 2 and 3
- Experience with Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Siemens, and Okuma machine tool controls preferred
- Carpentry and plumbing experience is a plus
- Demonstrated experience with National Electrical Code or NFPA 70 standards preferred
- Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry
- Experience using precision measuring devices preferred
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, wire schematics, and machine literature
- Ability to follow written, oral, or diagram-form instructions using common-sense understanding
- Intermediate computer skills
- Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds
- U.S. applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
- Applicable positions may require U.S. Person status under ITAR or eligibility for a U.S. Government export license
