About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the evaluation and execution of real estate investment opportunities that contribute to long-term portfolio growth.
- Continuously improve underwriting accuracy, reporting quality, and analytical processes that support strategic decision-making.
- Take accountability for delivering accurate financial models, market research, and investment analyses within established timelines.
- Proactively identify risks, inconsistencies, or opportunities during underwriting, due diligence, and asset management processes.
- Support compliance with financial, legal, and regulatory requirements through detailed and responsible analysis.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams, investors, and external partners to maintain trust and transparency.
- Assist in financial underwriting for student housing and multifamily development and acquisition opportunities, including opportunity evaluation and investment analysis.
- Perform financial modeling and analysis, including cash flow projections, valuation modeling, and investment return analysis to support business decisions.
- Conduct market research, due diligence, and competitive analysis for target markets and development opportunities.
- Support management of the company’s real estate portfolio, including student housing, mixed-use, multifamily, and other operating assets.
- Assist with budget preparation, business planning, debt compliance monitoring, quarterly valuations, and recurring portfolio reporting.
- Support refinance, disposition, lease, and credit tenant analyses as needed.
- Participate in capital market activities related to real estate acquisitions and investments.
- Build strong working relationships with development teams, asset management, senior leadership, and cross-functional partners.
- Contribute to Investment Committee discussions through objective analysis and thoughtful project evaluation.
- Support investor relations efforts through organized, accurate, and professional communication.
- Assist legal, finance, and accounting teams with compliance-related matters and documentation.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial real estate financial analysis, underwriting, or related investment analysis.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling; strong understanding of real estate underwriting and valuation methodologies.
- Professional Skills: Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, organization, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
