About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production, mission-critical applications
- Write SQL queries to analyze data issues, database performance, and data integrity
- Diagnose and resolve issues across REST APIs, web applications, and backend services
- Partner with developers to identify root causes, implement fixes, and deploy changes
- Support and monitor Windows and Linux systems and services
- Work within a biweekly sprint cycle, contributing to planning and execution
- Proactively identify recurring issues and implement solutions to improve system reliability and reduce support load
- Communicate findings and resolutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, a related field, and/or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience
- 3–5 years of professional experience in software development, application support, or a similar technical role
- Experience working in production environments and handling real-world system issues
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Experience with SQL Server (writing queries, data analysis and troubleshooting; performance tuning and database management are a plus)
- Understanding of relational database fundamentals (transactions, indexing, ACID, DML/DDL)
- Experience troubleshooting web applications and RESTful APIs
- Exposure to Windows Server environments and administration
- Ability to read and understand C#/.NET code for debugging and issue analysis
- Working knowledge of HTML and JavaScript for troubleshooting front-end issues
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in complex systems
- Ability to support time-sensitive, high-availability environments
- Clear communication skills for working across technical and non-technical teams.
