About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee business operations at a Utility-scale Renewable Energy Operations Control Center (OCC)
  • Develop, track, and manage OCC operating budgets
  • Oversee invoicing, receivables, and financial reporting
  • Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to improve cost efficiency
  • Manage contract deliverables and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors and regulatory officials
  • Lead initiatives to improve workflow efficiency and OCC business processes
  • Assist in workforce planning including staffing strategies and training plans
  • Coordinate procurement of OCC business services and vendor management
  • Present periodic performance summaries and KPI dashboards
  • Monitor OCC business metrics and facilitate timely reporting
  • Serve as principal business contact between OCC, GOP, asset owners, and other key parties
  • Support OCC and GOP relationship management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of business operations management experience, ideally in energy, utilities, or renewables
  • Staff management experience preferred
  • Familiarity with NERC, FERC, ISO, and GOP frameworks are strongly preferred
  • Strong financial acumen; expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and business analytics
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite; experience with ERP/accounting systems is a plus
