About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • - Managing site/civil engineering projects from initial scoping through design, permitting, and construction support
  • - Developing project scopes, contracts, schedules, and budget
  • - Overseeing and mentoring engineering staff and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams in the areas of land development, stormwater management, and climate/flood resiliency
  • - Preparing and reviewing site designs including layout, grading, utilities, erosion & sediment control, and site details
  • - Designing stormwater management systems
  • - Coordinating with municipal staff and attending Town/City public meetings
  • - Participating in field meetings and site visits
  • - Assisting with report preparation and local/state permit applications
  • - Supporting business development efforts and maintaining strong client relationships

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • - Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering preferred
  • - 8+ years of relevant site/civil engineering experience with strong site design skills
  • - Prior project management experience including contracts, QA/QC, scheduling, and staff oversight
  • - Maine Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
  • - Experience with local and state permitting requirements
  • - Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • - Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D required; HydroCAD preferred
  • - Travel to client sites, and attendance at town and city public meetings
