About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- - Managing site/civil engineering projects from initial scoping through design, permitting, and construction support
- - Developing project scopes, contracts, schedules, and budget
- - Overseeing and mentoring engineering staff and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams in the areas of land development, stormwater management, and climate/flood resiliency
- - Preparing and reviewing site designs including layout, grading, utilities, erosion & sediment control, and site details
- - Designing stormwater management systems
- - Coordinating with municipal staff and attending Town/City public meetings
- - Participating in field meetings and site visits
- - Assisting with report preparation and local/state permit applications
- - Supporting business development efforts and maintaining strong client relationships
Requirements
What you’ll need- - Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering preferred
- - 8+ years of relevant site/civil engineering experience with strong site design skills
- - Prior project management experience including contracts, QA/QC, scheduling, and staff oversight
- - Maine Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- - Experience with local and state permitting requirements
- - Strong written and verbal communication skills
- - Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D required; HydroCAD preferred
- - Travel to client sites, and attendance at town and city public meetings
