About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support project managers and provide technical leadership on a variety of environmental projects including:
- Site investigations
- Environmental remediation
- Brownfield redevelopment
- Environmental permitting and compliance
- Assist with project coordination, scheduling, and oversight of field staff and subcontractors
- Prepare high-quality technical reports, regulatory documentation, and client deliverables in accordance with Connecticut environmental regulations and company standards
- Collaborate with clients, regulators, and internal teams to support successful project outcomes
- Contribute to proposal development, client engagement, and broader business development efforts
- Mentor and guide early-career technical staff while helping build team capabilities and project delivery efficiency
- Support growing project workloads for a diverse client base including utility, industrial, commercial, and development clients
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geoscience, or a related field
- 6+ years of environmental consulting or related experience
- Strong understanding of Connecticut environmental regulations and remediation programs
- Ability and desire to obtain Licensed Environmental Professional (LEP) certification within 2–3 years
- Experience supporting or managing environmental investigation and remediation projects
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Desire to grow into project management, client management, and leadership responsibilities
- Remediation design experience is a plus
